Anytime of the year is a good time of the year to take New York City breaks and that is because there is an abundance of things to do. You can head off on excursions to see the sights such as the Statue of Liberty, take a trip over the Brooklyn Bridge, have a stroll around time square and depending on the time of year you could have a picnic in Central Park. Many people head to the big apple in search of fantastic and unique Christmas presents and you can find great bargains around the lower East Side or there is the option of some upscale shopping on Madison Avenue. There are many world famous shops to look around in New York such as Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Tiffany’s & Co. and Ralph Lauren. There is the Rockefella Centre where inside you can shop, eat and learn about New York, or outside you can watch the lights of their famous Christmas tree be turned on. There’s also a public ice rink that gets opened over the Christmas period where many people see it as a tradition to have a skate around.
