Summer Sun = Winter Fun
More and more people are taking advantage of winter holidays because destinations across the globe are blessed with sunshine through the whole year, and an added bonus is that they are much cheaper. Along with the low cost there will be nowhere near as many people at resorts than there would be during the summer peak seasons which makes for much quieter and relaxing holidays, something which many holidaymakers look for.
Many people use winter holidays to go to regions of the world that are generally quite expensive during the summer season such as Caribbean destinations, the Hawaiian Islands and the Seychelles. The prices can sometimes be as much as halved if you look at the months from November to March, and the temperatures you can expect at that time of year range from 25°C to 30°C.
Not everyone is looking to escape the horrors of British weather because its cold and in fact even the winter doesn’t get cold enough so that we can enjoy a pretty white landscape, just grey sludge lining the streets. If you are looking for a glorious white Christmas then those winter holidays are very much available. Places such as Lapland in Finland are very popular for families who want to visit Santa Claus in his own backyard. The south of France and northern Italy also take in a lot of tourists over the winter season as people tend to hit the slopes. However in those places winter is the peak season so the prices will generally be as high as they will get unless you aim for late autumn or early spring.
With a massive selection dilemma on your hands no matter where you decide you will certainly enjoy your winter holidays.
